Everyone seems to be talking about the circular economy these days, without giving concrete examples and how it would play out in our daily lives. This video from the Ellen McArhur Foundation is a gem.
As written on their homepage:
“In a circular economy, economic activity builds and rebuilds overall system health (…) Transitioning to a circular economy does not only amount to adjustments aimed at reducing the negative impacts of the linear economy. Rather, it represents a systemic shift that builds long-term resilience, generates business and economic opportunities, and provides environmental and societal benefits.”
The narrator also mentions two factors he finds crucial in order to make the transition:
